Very romantic setting

Great experience considering the circumstances. Masks required when walking around, when sitting/eating/drinking ok to remove mask. Bring a blanket and have a good time, Sierra at the bar is awesome.

Always a fun and relaxing place to hang out. A bit pricey but it's all worth it.

Malibu Cafe is best place. Very family oriented. Beautiful attraction. Great food. Daytime is beautiful, night time it's even better, beautiful entertainment. five star place!

beautiful location surrounded by the malibu hills. the place feels like a small park with restaurant at one end and a bar with upper deck above it. Small lake is off to the side. some outdoor games scattered around. The food is decent and the drinks rock. except for the Bullrider drink with Mescal. i usually love tequila but that drink tasted horrible to my gf and i. it had a chemical like taste. go figure. other than that the place is rad. especially during a pandemic. it’s a nice little escape from the congestion of the city.

Very relaxing and simple, grab a glass of wine an just enjoy the pretty views.

Limited in vegetarian options but whatever they offered was good. I ordered a cauliflower starter and a Tomato herlum sandwich with a margarita. Decently priced. The service was good. Valet service $14 Amazing place to chill around after your meal or just have a walk around the pond or the park with a drink. Lots of dining locations all over the restaurant.

Very cozy location and the best service. Not too expensive. I highly recommend the place. If you are living in Los Angeles area, travel time could get up to 40 minutes depending on traffic.

Great outdoor family experience, have some family get together or gf get togethers etc. It's definitely a hole in the wall I never knew about. There were many picture spots. There were stationed wooden chairs near the lake and watch the ducks in the pond, seating is available for the restaurant, you can bring a picnic blanket if you have kids but there are many seats everywhere.

2 Stars: Good drinks and atmosphere. Valet only and poor customer service at both the valet and bar. There are no signs saying valet only and the attendant made us pay after self parking or we would get towed. Also, there were 4-5 bartenders. The men were flirting with women instead of attending to customers in line.

I came to visit from out of state and everything in the area is crazy expensive. And you're missing 2 black pieces on your chess set.

One of my favorite places, a beautiful territory, a beautiful lake, a chill-out, a fireplace, there is a chess field, a good wine list, a menu unusual for a European person.

Great place for events And dining out..

We came here last night and we had a great time however this place is over the top expensive. Valet only and $14 to park. As you get in, there is the bag police checking your bag to make sure you don't bring any outside food. I had my bag checked twice. The prices are more than double for food and adult beverages. Burger meal with fries is $25, well drinks run about $16 or more! The place is semi stuck up, mostly couples and single groups. The only reason I wouldn't give this a 2 is because my 3 year old had a great time and the place is beautiful. Picture perfect! So, you are definitely paying to go into the hillsides. As I mentioned, we had a great time but I probably would not be back.

Not very nice on my daughter's birthday and we went to have breakfast and after an hour making the line an employee came out saying that they had an event and only they were serving live And if we wanted to eat something we still had to wait longer I don't know why they waited so long to notify and communicate this

Absolutely will not let you in before noon and if you are early you have to go back to Mulholland and find a legal place to idle while you wait. If you turn left out of the driveway you can park in a turnoff at Mulholland and Encinal Canyon Dr. Health check at the gate when you go back. We did the grab and go lunch of the chicken sandwich on brioche. Excellent aoli . But you go for the charm of the outdoor setting. The high priced food pays for the privilege of lollygagging in a lovely spot under oaks and near a pond for way longer than you would dare in a restaurant. We got in at noon and lingered til 3. Great afternoon.

Very nice open air place. Loved the "grassy area" and small lake pond. Service was very good. They do a health check at the entrance. There's almost no cell reception there and I wasn't able to log onto the guest wifi at all (android) to check out the menu but they did have a regular menu. The food itself is just ok in terms of taste (we ordered the crab salad and steak) and portions are on the small side for the price. There's also a health price charge which may be standard now, I'm not sure. That said, you're paying more for the ambiance than the food. Oh yeah, they also charge 14 for parking. Not sure exactly why, since I don't think you're going anywhere else. Maybe there are other places people go around there? May or may not go back but it really is a place unlike any I've been to in LA, so that may make it worth the visit as well.

Stunning location! But everything else was a disappointment. The food was very uninspiring considering the price.

Extremely beautifull

Came here in Sept. 2020 so they’re trying to do the best they can during the pandemic. Overall it was beautiful- SUPER expensive, but a cool experience in a gorgeous location nonetheless!

Was here a year ago ,everything was amazing. My kids loved this place so much.Food was great. We came here again and the food in the restaurant was not very good.They have separated the manue and if you choose some fast food which is easy for kids you have to do a self service and find a spot.If not welcome to restaurant :overpriced for the suggested food and portion.When I come next time don't want to have a dinner just a drink and some appetizers in the picknik area. Thanks to the waiters for their hard work and service!You guys deserve an apploud!

Absolutely charming! Spendy, but the food was very good, and it is in Malibu after all, so expect it to not be cheap! The grounds were very cool too!

The food was tasty and packed full of flavor. They offer plenty of outdoor seating and a beautiful scenery. Servers were friendly and accommodating. Just keep in mind, because you are surrounded by so much foliage, there was a handful of bees that showed up once the food arrived.

Good service these days is hard to find. However, today I found a gentleman who is truly passionate about his role in the service industry. His name is Navid, a manager at Malibu Cafe. Because we had a 40-minute wait, Navid offered us a free cocktail while we waited. He took the opportunity to keep us satisfied, even though we hadn't asked for anything. After we were seated he came by our table to check on us to see if we were enjoying ourselves and if we needed anything. While these were small gestures, it meant a great deal to me because excellent customer service is hard to find. Thank you Navid for making our experience at Malibu Cafe a memorable one! By the way, the food is great and the atmosphere is phenomenal!!

Beautiful venue! It's a nice place to get away and feel miles from the busy city. Haven't tried the food yet, but cocktails are solid.

Hi, they have very nice environment but they are doing a nasty thing which is they have a lot of empty tables but they tell you that you have to wait for at least 45 minutes in order to push you to go to the bar and spend some money there and then eventually they give you a table. Do not lessen to them.
